AH Vrij takes another step towards sustainability
In 65 years, family business AH Vrij has developed into a reliable partner in the field of greenery, soil and infrastructure. To achieve this, the company is taking steps towards sustainability.
One of these steps is the purchase of an electric Veldhuizen Truck based on an electric Mercedes Benz eActros. The electric truck is equipped with a hookloader with a capacity of 26 tons and a loader crane with a capacity of 18.1 ton-meters. The hookloader and crane are driven by a Parker ePTO, which was installed by DLS.
The installed Parker ePTO-system consists of an inverter that drives an electric motor. The inverter is powered by a DC power source, in this case the battery pack of the electric truck.
DLS built a special frame to fit the ePTO in the available space. DLS engineers utilized their full expertise during the integration of the ePTO-system. They installed the high-voltage cables, and integrated and configured the CAN bus system. Subsequently, the system was fully assembled and commissioned, during which the Parker e-motor and inverter were configured.
