Are you looking for a power take-off (PTO) solution for your battery electric or hydrogen vehicle? This issue can be solved by an ePTO. The ePTO offers a perfect solution for your zero emission vehicle, because it can be connected directly to the battery pack.
The ePTO system consists of an inverter and an electric motor, powered by a DC power source, e.g. a battery. The available ePTO sizes range from 25 to 95 kW (35-140 hp) of continuous power. It can be applied to vehicles with battery supply voltage ranging from 100 to 800 VDC. Like a standard PTO the ePTO can be connected to a mechanical transmission system (gearbox or cardan shaft). The ePTO can also be linked to multiple pump technologies, from the quiet vane or helicoidal gear pumps to the highly efficient piston pumps, both in fixed and variable configuration. The inverter with onboard I/O, including digital, CAN, and analog inputs, increases its capability to manage advanced hydraulic controls, such as torque limiting to preserve battery life.
The ePTO provides the same power as a traditional PTO, but in a clean way. By using the electric motor instead of the combustion engine, no harmful substances are emitted. In addition, the ePTO is much more quiet in use than a traditional PTO.
